Duration

HA fillers are non-permanant fillers that last 6-18 months.

Pain

Most patients report only minimal discomfort during the injection process. The area is numbed with local anesthetic, and clients usually feel a small poke and some pressure. Any allergies to anesthetics or local anesthetics should be discussed with your injector prior to treatment.  

Common side effects

Minor bruising, swelling, or redness at the injection site can occur but usually subsides quickly. Tenderness at the injection site can last a few days. 

Downtime

Minimal to no downtime, no physical activity for 24-48 hours, swelling or bruising can be common so plan 2 weeks prior to any social events. 

Non-negotiables

No alcohol 24hrs before and after, no massages or facials for 2 week after, not available to pregnant or breast feeding individuals. 

Safety

When treated by a skilled licensed medical professional, it is considered safe, tissue necrosis or blindness is a rare but potential complication of dermal filler. The signs are skin blanching, pain, and potential vision changes. You are not a candidate for ha fillers if you have a history of keloid formation or severe allergic reactions.
